The WAM! team attended and presented at the United State of Women Summit on June 14th in Washington, DC. We joined more than 5,000 attendees in progressive sessions, and calls to action, alongside our Movement Maker family from Move to End Violence. Move to End Violence, a 10-year program of the NoVo Foundation, aims to strengthen leaders, organizations, and the movement working to end violence against all girls and women. We contributed to a panel on revolutionizing gender norms and media activism on a panel with Jess Weiner, Mattel’s Juliana Chugg, Amy Poehler, Dr. Stacy Smith, Meredith Walker and Ana Flores. Here’s what we learned from our experience at this historic convening.
