This will be a lively, fun discussion where you can talk about your own situation and what you want to achieve and what the obstacles are. We will discuss how to get started writing and publishing, how to pitch editors and agents, how to take it up to the next level if you are an established or emerging writer already, what it’s like to write about your personal life/family/sex life for publication, writing difficult topics, online publication, fear and making a life as a writer. You can ask Anna anything.

Anna’s writing has appeared in numerous publications including The New York Times Modern Love column, New York Magazine, Hip Mama, Bustle, Tin House, VQR and she writes regularly for Salon and The Rumpus. She frequently writes about the intersection of politics and popular culture and considers sexuality, gender, family, feminism, the body, and the treatment of women and girls, Her memoir, “Happy People Live Here”, and novel, “The Diary of Suzanne Frank”, are forthcoming and she is at work on an essay collection, “We Can Do It: Notes from a Feminist Killjoy”. She lives in Los Angeles and is from Washington, D.C. and Rehoboth Beach, DE.
